So, lately a few folks have pointed out that names have been yellow far longer than normal, and despite hours passing, they aren’t going red/orange. Did something happen to adjust the timers on idle vs away lately, or is there perhaps a bug?
To my knowledge this was a bug, and I think it’s been fixed.
It does seem to be fixed, yeah.
It is indeed caused by a bug.
Likely it is a side-effect of this bug (which I have yet to track down), and when such a dead-locked character is queued to change inactive state, it locks up the process that handles those inactive state changes.
Restarting the service unlocks all characters and resolves the issue.
