Can't view/wake one of my characters

I was exploring creating a new character and had been wandering with them for a few days, when I ran into an issue last night.

After creating a second profile and switching between them, this character’s ‘Window’ became unresponsive (404 timeouts when attempting to send commands of any kind)

Now when logging in, that character is my default pane (as if they were already awake) but all of their details are blank and the interface is blank/nonresponsive.

Troubleshooting actions taken so far, all without fixing the issue-

Slept/Woke other characters
Logged out and logged back in to mucklet/wolfery
Clear all site cookies + relog
Disabled all browser plugins (uBlock Origin, DuckDuckGoPrivacyEssentials) + relog

I can provide more detailed console logs / troubleshooting in a PM if needed, but here’s a sample:

TypeError: u.on is not a function

TypeError: this.ctrl[(intermediate value)] is not a function

TypeError: can’t access property “id”, e is undefined

After looking through some more threads, this appears very similar to this issue;

There was an issue with the Pieradyne Station where a character was broken in some way. Acci rescued us from the void and hopefully your character has also returned to your control.

If this was in another location, then I hope it was also freed from where it was caught.

Seems like that might’ve knocked something loose! I’ll add if I run into any other problems.

More detail would be good! Something happened with your character that errored out, no idea what, but it errored in a way that was probably causing the message bus to spin. This is a thing that we find from time to time and we have to restart the services to fix it.

The thread you referred to is most likely the same issue. I failed to find the cause at that time. Your description may help in making me able to finally kill that bug.

I had a character trapped after looking at their character. If I can help in any way, let me know. I did not get any messages from the server like they did, however.

I know this comes many days after this, but I thought it was worth mentioning that this has happened again with another character today. And also seemed to happen when there was an attempt to change from one profile to another.

I had the same issue with Raksha Calavera. Upon log in, it seems his profile is a blank character from my end, but others see him online.

The issue was brought to Accipiter’s attention, and should be fixed now! Dev wolf pounced on the problem! n_n
