Character tab hotkeys are misaligned

When the tab ordering was changed to reflect the order in which characters are awakened, the hotkeys were not updated to mirror this behavior, and instead reflect the order of characters’ ID, as before.

As a result, pressing Ctrl+1 does not select the first character shown in the list, but whichever character has the alphanumerically lowest ID. This renders the hotkeys quite difficult to wrangle, although a temporary workaround involves juggling character wakefulness to put them back in (nominally) creation order on the screen.

I’ve noticed this too.

I would also love the ability to change the order of the character log in section. When I first came to wolfery I wasn’t sure I would stick around, so my “main” isn’t the first character I made and it kind of bugs me…

Ah. That bug appeared with last release that sorted the characters by the controlled timestamp.

I don’t know if it matters or not, but I think this has been around for as long as your active characters were sorted by login order.
