The little notification pop-ups display even though I have “Enable notifications” checked and “Notify on any wakeup” unchecked.
I’m using Firefox 128.11.0esr (64-bit) on Debian Linux, not sure if that helps. I’m not browsing in private mode or using a container tab.
That’s every character in total, right, not just every one in your watchlist? You don’t have a search term matching a large number of people entered into your ‘awake characters’ search box?
On a related note: is there an equivalent of a hidefrom
or watchfor #hide
? Because sometimes you don’t really want to get pounced on by watchers - or by specific watchers. Elsewhere this feature is much more granular and often has e.g. a minute’s grace period (though here IIRC mail is readable without logging in, which helps).

Right.

I did… was that the problem? facepaw I’ll clear that and see if the problem persists.

Probably, that’s what “Notify on matched” means, which is selected by default. Can be confusing!

Yes, that is actually what it means!
Okay. I see how this can be confusing. Sorry @Elissa for all the notifications!

Unfortunately, not at the moment.
Currently, the “Awake” list is a resource shared by everyone, and can therefor be efficiently cached. It would be possible to have uniquely tailored “Awake” list for each player based on peoples “hidefrom”, but would come at a bit of a server cost.
The only ones who can hide from the awake list are bots and admin (I don’t think any of the admins know this, though
. There is no GUI for it). But when they “hide”, they do it for everyone.
It’s okay, bosswoof. It was a simple fix.
Thank you for all your hard work.
