Feature request: Make the top level area info always visible in all rooms. That’s the area info common to the entire realm, and you’re always in the Wolfery realm. Even areas not officially linked as subareas of other areas.
It is inconvenient when in a private unlinked room, or in an area not as a subarea of others that eventually link to a top area, to be unable to see how many folks area in a particular area and such.
I second this! It takes very little time to log in an alt to check the map, but that is a distraction that is sometimes harder to navigate on mobile, which I often am.
I like this idea, but I also get that you’re technically not in the area you want to see the occupancy of; you’re just in the room, or its own standalone area.
Perhaps this will be replaced by a Realm Info page in the near future? There’s been a lot of work on realms recently, albeit more on the management side of things.
It’s not uncommon elsewhere to have access to a top-level listing of a similar kind (sometimes even with names, although there’s an opt-out) with whereare.
