So, I’m fairly new to the place (about a month now, I think) and I was noticing that the Library in Sinder seems to be unused (I know there were things that made the school move, etc., but I really don’t want to get into that) and I was thinking about giving the building an overhaul as a more modern Library/Community Center of sorts. The Library would be there, just a bit more simplified, along with some other areas for folks who might want to do things in a public place away from The Park like meetings, group discussions, along with maybe things like a computer lab, a maker lab, a small science and self-learning education center, and whatnot. Outside space to also maybe do formal events too, including the playing field that’s still there.
Anyways, it’s just a thought and I certainly don’t want to step on toes if it’s still being used/maintained and I’m just not noticing.
I have my ideas, but I’m also keen to at least get and listen to others too so that it can be more available to the community needs and interests.
I’ve also been interested in revamping the libarary and at the moment, I’m the one working on it. I’ve done some simple stuff so far, mostly just removing the completely outdated content there, but I would be happy to have someone else’s help with giving the library a new look. Contact me when I’m available under the character Archie 'Ace' Hartman and we can discuss ideas and get the place looking even better.
I think the biggest issue I would suggest would come up is that you’ll be in direct competition with Miranda’s, which is adjacent to the town center- only one square over, and arguably more convenient to get to. Not a bad idea, but, it’s probably not tenable in the long run since Miranda’s is already really established. I would almost suggest relocating Miranda’s to inside the library to attract attention, but, I’ve really only seen people go into the Café to have sexy play while snacking, and not actually to do anything besides- which probably wouldn’t do anything to attract attention to the fact that we have a library.
I know, but while I was playing as Miranda, someone suggested that I expand outward, but that’s when the issue starts, because I technically don’t own Miranda’s and it would require approval from acci as he is the owner.
Just because I go in for a smoothie and a snack, and sometimes a tigress gets tied to a table, doesn’t mean I actually had devious plans! Sometimes she get tied to other tables in other places, too!
