So… I just introduced myself to someone, saying my own name, and I got a desktop notification for my own message. It hasn’t ever happened before, but it seems fairly consistent, happening with both Xetem on a pose and Chippy on a say.
My guess is that you had two tabs open at the same time, causing you to get notifications from the tab not in focus.
Even so, the client shouldn’t notify you on your own messages
