Sinder Needs a Casino

I have been thinking of adding a Casino to Sinder but trying to figure out how to implement some of the gambling. If anyone has ideas, I would appreciate some brainstorming.

Loop in @FoxLancaster-Okami, he runs the gambling branch of the pizzeria.

I’d love to expand the idea! Currently, I’ve got two games built into bots- Roulette and Blackjack (accessible via #cb131mm9gbrmb43l3oug, I think anyone can teleport there) in the games room. I’m looking to build one for poker as well, though employment has somewhat delayed progress there! All the code for the bots is available here- I’d be happy to help with setting up some more expansive places that build on what I’ve already got going!

I’m no programming wiz like you, foxy fox, but maybe a simple slot machine could be built since there isn’t really any real decisions made on the player’s part. just an idea :bulb:.

Ah this is great. I will look it over and see what I can come up with. My coding is not at expert level but I can help building something further. I like the idea of having some additional games.

I like the idea for slots, would just need to build the random generator.

I do have one friend idly batting this ball around. Issues with a Casino, at this time, are mostly just the need of coding/scripts to drive the games of the matter.

You can run a character as a bot who you can interact with such as what Fox has done already in their place, but that comes with obvious aesthetic attachments which may be less or more desirable depending.

Pretty impressive fox, looked over the blackjack code which is pretty slick.

@Jett, @Xeriph thank you for the compliments!

Slots would be very straightforward to do, really even just by stripping down and re-skinning the roulette bot- I think I may try to get that squared really quick, since it’ll take less dedicated effort to get going than the poker one, and I can probably get it done around work.

One advantage would be that, pursuant to rate limiting, one bot could probably serve slots up to several people at a time, so you’d only need one character to convincingly portray a whole role
