Hiya builders and curious folks, I’m working on the Pump & Dump, a retro gas station area with a convenience store and a diner.
It’s a small area, just 3 rooms. The descriptions are mostly writen but I’m working on a lot of art. I’m planning on making an interactive menu with scripting so that you can actually order stuff (with art of every item hopefully!)
When I finally finish it, I was wondering where in the world I could possibly add it to? I’m thinking Woodford if possible, since the only other urban place is Umber Point(?) and that’s way too dark in tone for all the neon signs and milkshakes.
Lamplight City has a suburban theme with an Industrial Park beside a major road between Bakers Boulevard Center (two blocks north of the Red Line, by the Arcade) and the Slums:
A major road travels east-west here, allowing big rigs to get their deliveries done. Loads of people walk and drive this road, commuting to the city’s commercial center from the many densely packed apartment complexes.
You may not want that location if you are not OK with potential ageplay, but it otherwise fits the bill. It lies between the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ parts of town; the former is already served by a patisserie-café, but there is no diner per se in the area, the closest being a pizza area in the arcade and then a chicken wings joint deep in the Patchwork sub-area.
And if you’re not comfortable with Lamplight’s policies there’s always Woodford, West of Sinder, which would be a really good place for a diner. There’s a player who’s been interested in revamping that area in fact.
