With the make command, you could send a request to make someone “makeable” by you, and once they request, you would be able to use the make command on them, in the format “make (user) = (prompt)”, where the prompt, as long as it was a valid IC pose, post, whisper, or message, would be completed by the mentioned user.
EG:
You write “Make Bryan =: dances.”
Then it would be run as if Bryan wrote “: dances.” in their console.
I’d rather have the leash command, personally.
I guess that would require user scripts as well as room scripts, in the current setup.
This script can:
- Control your movement
- Restrict teleportation
- Restrict going home
patiently sits here waiting for a global script that restricts teleportation…
The issue with leash as we know it, is that you can’t control characters once they are asleep. That was a good part of the fun with leash. I could easily create a user script that would allow auto-accept on lead. Shouldn’t be hard at all to have a list of users you allow this from, etc. But that’s not what we’re hoping for. Still, it would be a nice first step.
Moderators can move slept characters, so, it’s probably possible to have some actions that work on slept characters.
As much as the feature is useful, I do feel like this can be used for hostile purposes, like when you suddenly grab someone and pull them out of an active RP.
If you’re talking about leash, yes and no. If you allow a dominant to break a scene with someone else, you are just as likely to do so on your accord if they tell you to. It’s possible that the leash could do that against your will, but that’s a one-and-done problem. If not, then that’s your choice to allow it, and the other person’s choice, whom was involved in the scene, to continue to interact with them in the future, or not.
Double checking the rules, scene disrupting is [oddly] missing from the rules, so it would be not considered abuse in this case.
Why not both. Though the follow/lead commands are close to a leash.
For all the reasons posted in this thread?
