Release v1.19.0 - Reporting

This release focuses on the system for reporting abuse or other misbehaviors.

Features

Abuse reporting

When hovering over an event in the chat log, it will now show a triple-dot menu icon ( ⋮ ). Clicking it will open a menu:
chat_log_menu

Click Report to open a report dialog. If the character is a puppet, the report will include the puppeteer.

It is also possible to report by command:

report John Rude = He says the most indecent things.

And you cannot report a character you own.

Note
When using the report command on a puppet, it will report the current puppeteer. If the puppeteer has already stopped controlling the puppet, use the chat log menu instead.

Improvements

Room name in “In Room” page

The In Room page (opened by clicking the expand arrows of the In Room section) now has the room title on top. Thanks @Windchaser for the suggestion!

Fixes

Looked at not working
The vertical yellow bar, showing at the left side of the In Room characters looking at you, was broken. It now works again.

Moderators could ban anyone
A moderator could ban other moderators, or even admins. This is not allowed anymore.

Administration

Set main command (moderator)

A new command allows moderators and admins to set a main character used to represent the player for report assignments, and inter-moderator communication. See:

help set main

Reports page (moderator)
A new Reports page is added. To open the page, click the flag icon in the Realm panel:

reports_icon

  • orange indicator - number of unassigned reports
  • grey indicator - number of assigned but unclosed reports

The lists shows reported characters, and who is assigned to handle each.
Clicking on a badge will expand it:

reports_report

  • The Ctrl character is shown if the character is a puppet, and indicates the controlling character (puppeteer) . This goes for both the reported and the reporters.
  • Multiple reports for the same character stacks until closed.
  • A limit exists on how many reports stack (defaults to 10).
  • To close a report, you first need to assign it to yourself by clicking the Assign button.
  • You can anytime reassign a report, even if assigned to someone else.
  • Only admins can assign themselves reports where their own character is targeted.
