Fleet refresh!
Toyota Crowns have been the preferred choice for ATC (Aiuchi Taxi Company) and law enforcement since 1970, and in the age of ride-share apps, ATC announced plans to replace their aging fleet with a newer fleet of Toyota Crown and HiAce.
In a recent interview with ATC president, the team was looking into modernizing their fleet with hybrid vehicles and gaining accessibility for larger individuals. During the interviews, questions were raised as to why ATC were not committed to going electric, and the response was “EVs are too expensive and not the way to achieve net zero emissions”.
ATC has placed an order of 30 Toyota Crowns and 5 Toyota HiAce, and it’s expected to replace the whole fleet within’ 3-5 years.
