Sagoya Aircraft Company unveils electric aircraft concept (August 18 )

In a world where people craze electric mobility from scooters to bicycles to cars to buses, anything is possible when Sagoya unveils the Sagoya Flamingo Denki concept on their website. As an aircraft capable of seating 6 passengers or cargo if you opt for a cargo variant, the electric motor is paired with the aircraft’s two propellers.

The company stated that they are planning for their concept to achieve 4 hours of flight time, and everything is still being worked on in the background. For the time being, their piston-variant has started production. It is unclear when the electric variant could enter civilian service once it’s out of the concept stage. Still, experts believe it can happen before 2030 with the evolving electric technologies.

Kumi International announces Atomic Blast, the newest sour candy (August 19)

If you have missed the unveiling, we have some insight for you! Just yesterday, Kumi unveiled the Atomic Blast, which is a candy that is hard and crunchy on the outside, but smooth and chewy on the inside! The company made those candies to bring something unique to their portfolio and target the thrill-seeking individuals who want to take the sour challenge!

According to Kumi, they planned to release 5 flavors: Lemon, Lime, Orange, Green Apple, and my personal favorite: Pineapple. Me and one of our editors got a chance to try one of the Atomic Blast, and they lived up to the hip they deserved. The candy is expected to hit store shelves in Salagalu as soon as possible.

Salagalu City to be renamed (August 20)

Following a referendum held on August 1-4, in which the majority voted yes, plans to rename Salagalu City are now set in motion.

A brief history lesson, Salagalu City was built in 1973 to serve as Salagalu’s new capital city and the financial powerhouse, replacing Kamatumbua. Now in the present day, the city’s name sounds a bit rather confusing due to Salagalu City having been named after a country itself, and the public is looking to rename it.

Submissions for renaming the city are in, but the ones we picked out of the 100+ submissions are Meishui, Takahiro, Takahoma, Matsui, and Asakanai. We don’t know what it will be renamed, but a poll will be released soon.

Salagalu Airways new livery (August 21)

Salagalu Airway’s Airbus A350-1000 with the Geometric Art new livery

Salagalu Airways released a video online yesterday morning, showcasing its new livery that the airline refers it as “Geometric Art” in preparations for the airline’s 100th anniversary since its founding in 1925.

The description of the new livery Is rather fascinating. While incorporating Salagalu’s national flag colors, blue represents imagination, while green represents growth. The airline’s name written on the forward fuselage was given a small modification to incorporate Japanese writings. The white area that extends the lower fuselage represents the mountain, although that can be disputed. The tailfin originally featured a palm tree, but it has been replaced with Salagalu’s national flower: the Hibiscus.

Salagalu Regional Airways is not spared from this, as a new livery has been unveiled. The regional airline is much more controversial as the new livery is seen as a poor imitation to look like a luxury private jet. The brown deep hues can convey elegance and refinement, but it doesn’t translate well into the new livery.

The new livery is expected to be repainted on all of Salagalu Aircraft within’ a year, while the regional airline will be delayed until a new design is drawn.

Old aircraft may see new uses (August 22)

Aviation geeks, you might be in for a real treat! At the same time the new livery was announced, Salagalu Airways has been working on restoring old historical aircraft.

Although no reason was given, they’re likely preparing for Salagalu Airways 100th anniversary. Some of the aircraft we saw are an old Ilyushin IL-62, fittingly nicknamed “Loudbird”, the earlier Boeing 727, and the Antonov An-24. If you’re into old airplanes, they’re working to restore those gems.

Lantern Event postponed (August 24)

What was meant to celebrate Kamatumbua, Salagalu’s formal capital city, 150 years since its founding had to be postponed due to the heatwave, and now it may be postponed further due to thunderstorms.

Organizers were understandable with the outcome but hoped the event would be postponed until the weather cleared out.

A tip for staying fresh longer! (August 25)
