Proposal for a big campaign

Hi. Pretty new here, so I’d like to ask something. I’ve been wondering if it was possible to make campaigns like the ones in tabletop games. If not, I understand. I’ve been enjoying the lighthearted RPs so far, but I’m also a big fan of epic stories that buddies can also contribute to.

It is indeed possible to make extended roleplays in Wolfery, but it’s admittedly hard. Most long-term roleplays tend to be more slice-of-life.
Mostly it involves an area and enough interested people. Wolfery does have a decent range of the former, the challenge is gathering enough of the latter. I you can do so, go for it!

As someone who is sort-of doing both, with a Tabletop Game currently going in the confines of Wolfery and running around with heavy character lore as some grand stories, to be honest? It can work.

Between players making spaces to accommodate the stories as well as having some morally skewed characters to be the fire-starters for action, it just takes a good group of people, a lot of mutual understanding, and some trust that adventure will come as you make it.

Oh, and a bit of understanding that you shouldn’t express that grand story everywhere. I hold back a lotta things with Chamomile, as not to make people uncomfortable when they just wanna do some comfort stuff. Basically: remember to relax a bit!

Okay, I think I get what you’re trying to say. You mean I shouldn’t jump the gun yet? I can do that; I’m pretty patient myself.

I’d still like to share my idea for the basic premise of this campaign I’d like to make. A goddess who is devoted to the idea of ‘ignorance is bliss’ is conducting a crusade where she brainwashes people across the world (I wanna go for multiverse, since that fascinates me so much, but I’m pretty sure you’re gonna tell me to think smaller) to ‘save them from their baggage and allow everyone to live in harmony’. Of course, that wouldn’t sit well with some people, so there’d be someone trying to communicate (possibly with cross-dimensional telepathy) with potential warriors who could help build a resistance team against the goddess and save the world.

Yes, and no. All I’m saying is you should get some people together who would be willing to FIRST, because that sort of campaign takes quite an effort and a lot of cooperation. Something along the line of multiple worlds would be a much larger undertaking, though.

I should ask, do you intend for this to be a tabletop? Cause that’s much easier than actually making a huge adventure between worlds in the actual bit of Wolfery. (A lotta people are pretty low-conflict after all, and its polite to keep our mud and blood to ourselves!)

Right, just wanted to make sure I got this right. Thanks for clearing it up.

I was thinking about implementing RPG stuff like stats, turns, money, a bestiary and items, including a base of operations with training programs. Some of those are tabletop game features, right?

This… Could be very complex, though I’d love to see more ideas on it.

I’m doing something quite similar soon, but more focused on a much smaller idea. I don’t know when I’ll be bringing that forth, though.

I’d say plan it out a bit more and check in with someone for the logistics behind it, but it might just work better on a discord if it doesn’t work here. (Again, this isn’t a place with heavy combat/adventure focus! Though it is welcome in small portions so far!)
