So, I was advised by a mod to make this, since apparently mods are unable to help with the issue I need resolved, at least in the way I’d like to resolve it. For context, I got locked out of one of my google accounts, for whatever reason, an attempt by someone to hack it, I guess. But, now I can’t recover the account since the recovery info is something I either don’t recognize, or don’t have anymore. None of this pertains to the wolfery login, but it should help explain why I would like to resolve it the way I do. Anyway, if possible, and this is asked towards Accipiter, I’d like to change the email to the account, so I can log back in on it, and go back to enjoying the characters there.
Poking @Accipiter so this is not missed.
On it!
It requires me to add a feature currently missing, where I can switch an account from using Google (OpenID) to using username/password.
I will have it in the next release (hopefully something I am done with within a week from now).
Well, if need be as a temporary measure, I can provide a separate email for the currently locked out account to use, if possible, so you wouldn’t have to focus as much on this one issue, and get to things that are probably more important.
With accounts using Google, it is not as simple as to switch e-mail.
The protocol used is called OpenID Connect, and the information I get from Google that I use to match against your account is not the e-mail, but rather a long set of digits. Something like:
"sub": "10769150350006150715113082367"
So, the way I can help is by giving you a username/password login once the next release is out
