So, new account on the forums, not so new in Wolfery.
I have a penchant for adopting ‘strays’ off the streets and taking in characters that are clearly not well off. I’ve been kind of tossing around the idea of setting up an orphanage area for all the underage homeless-familyless type characters to be, as well as for others to potentially find those types of characters to ‘adopt’ into their families and whatnot.
I know Lamplight has a daycare and a school, but… Maybe it’s unique enough to still work?
Thoughts?

Always found it strange there were no orphanages anywhere in Sinder.
I’m all in!
Strikes me as something for the slums area, perhaps?
Note that Patchwork got dropped into Lamplight a few days ago, and it has a YMCA there; presumably the orphanage is for younger kits.
If any builders are reading, things got somewhat messed up with the relocation: the Red Line still exists and goes to Umber, but not back from it; going back to ‘Sinder’ actually goes to the Grey Line, its room description needs updating; and the area description for Patchwork references its old location and route.
The slums or patchwork is what I was thinking, actually!
The orphanage I’m envisioning will be for all ages - Like an adoption agency. Young, teens, all the way up to pre-adult. Any ‘child’ (17 and under?) that needs a place to stay, people to look out for them, so on and so forth. Kind of a homeless shelter geared towards children, that can actually be RP’d in (Versus the hostel which is just a sleeping quarters and nothing else). I imagine there’d be some ‘partnerships’ or something between the orphanage and daycare and academy - The latter two being for educating while the former is a place for them to live.
