Need help on the escape room

Hello! I’m currently planning an escape room event this May, in which 5 participants (3rd class passengers) will try to escape in a stricken ocean liner with 1 loose lifeboat on board. The event takes place in the mid-1920s and I do need an idea of implementing puzzles to keep participants entertained.

If you have any ideas, please leave them below. As of now, the current plan is to lock the gate between 3rd, 2nd, and 1st class decks (it was done because the crewmembers aren’t well trained) but with keys on each deck, giving participants time to find the key and unlock the next deck.

I have actually a few ideas and I would love to help out with the escape room…
Here’s an idea I had for a while about a the escape room. You could have like some clues and some messages around for like how to get the key and stuff and maybe some coded areas only gifted people can get to, also you could maybe add a glass area and a platform for people who can watch the people who are in it. When I was in Texas for a furry convention they had a corn maze in stock wroth and I was bad at doing it so I studied it and I managed to do it in 5 minutes which was the best time I have ever done.
