Location Type Standardization/Consistency

Room / Area / Region / Realm / World?

I’ve noticed that besides Room Info, all others are called “Area.”

And underneath, they’re called “Locations” not “Areas.”

Given that I do not yet know how the Mucklet organizes things, I can’t make deeper comment. Does the Mucklet use Parent Rooms and Objects the same way a MUCK does?

If so, is there an opportunity to expand upon this idea and place a tag on a parent room to define what type of parent room it is? (i.e.: area, region, etc)

Realm, going to the call for new Admins, I can see being reserved for nodes in the universe, if they can somehow all be tethered.

But I would call them Worlds, not Realms. A Realm seems fit for the parent category of Region.

A “Region” could be useful, though, to describe a place larger than an “Area.” An “Area” seems more fit for a series of rooms within a particular Region.

The “Locations” panel could then be treated as a tree, showing how each Area is childed into that Region.

Just some food for thought!
