Is there a list of 'prefaces' from different messaging types?

Not sure how to properly convey this request. It seems like whenever I use the ‘message’ command, it seems to get different results? And sometimes people can message me and it prefaces it with different things? I’ll write-

message ExampleMan => funny ooc message

-and it’ll be displayed as-

MyCharacter writes, “funny ooc message”

Is there a list of what commands are prefaced with what words? When other users message me, it can say anything from ‘says’ to ‘writes’ to ‘whispers’ and I’d like to respond in kind if able, but I don’t know which commands correspond to each type of communication.

Also, you can combine things like (m)essage with the shorthand version of pose ( : ) and ooc ( > ).

What you are looking for is poses. Normally, in a room, you can pose with:

pose yells out ,"I am alive!"

Which results in:

Accipiter yells out ,“I am alive!”

Instead of using the pose command, you can use the colon (:) alias/short hand to get the same result:

:yells out , "I am alive!"

For messages (and whisper, mail and address), the color (:) can also be used to make it a pose. And to make it OOC, you can also add a “greater than” symbol (>):

message Example Man =:>snickers ,"Funny, right?"

Resulting in:

AccipiterMessage ooc to Example Man snickers ,“Funny, right?”

help whisper

I think I understand? I was confused because I got a ooc message formatted like-

ExampleGuy says, “funny ooc message”

-and when I replied it was-

MyCharacter writes, “funny ooc reply”

-so the person sending a message must have been using pose to put ‘says’ when ‘write’ is the default for message. Thank you for the help.
