This topic may sound a bit silly, but a lot of wolfery’s UI is a mystery to me. Quite a few things are indicated with shorthand, colors, and small symbols, but there doesn’t seem to be a guide or tutorial on what a lot of these mean. For example, up until yesterday I wasn’t aware that the small yellow bar to the left of a character’s thumbnail meant that they were reading your profile. Help commands don’t cover these, and there wasn’t anything on the forums about it that I could find. Is there a guide or tutorial I missed, or in the case of that being absent, could someone give me a few pointers on this website’s less-explained features?

I totally agree that the help/tutorial for the UI must be improved!
One idea that has been discussed is to create the tutorial you are missing - letting the start room allow you to go through a scripted tutorial, showing you the basics of the commands and UI.
Unfortunately that is not in place yet!
Though, while not obvious, most info is still found under the help command. The info about the yellow bar can be found under the Room Info section when typing: help
Room Info
The right-side panel shows information about the current room, clickable exits you can use, and other characters inside the room. Clicking on a character will make you look at them. And if another character looks at you, a colored line will appear in front of their avatar.
