Twitter is a difficult thing to advertise Wolfery on. I myself am careful and only recommend it in controlled environments.
My Twitter bubble is strongly anti cub/ageplay. With wolfery even only supporting it the way it does, issues may rise up. It only takes one who gets insulted by it and tracks down the original poster report them for cub advertising and you can forget your account.
Furthermore am I nurturing an artist followership. Most on Wolfery ‚borrow’ their art and that may rub others the wrong way.
Unpersonal advertising is better, there is no singular person the mad people can lynch.

I referenced Wolfery in my FA profile. I know a few folks that have followed it to the site and started playing that way. I feel it’s fairly safe because so many on there have sonas and are looking for RP or have a curiosity for for RP. It’s not huge advertising, but I’m trying to do what I can.

I almost forgot that Twitter is already becoming a hell hole. There would be pointless fights everywhere and many RP accounts would garner over 1,000 followers in under 1 week with little effort.
You do have your points here, so often times I would do it in FurAffinity or any other furry sites.

You underestimate the effort needed to get big in twitter. I am still at 600 despite being active. You have to get loved tender by the algorithm to experience such a fast pace.
Otherwise it is hard work. If the algorithm doesn’t love you you will experience the real twitter.

Is there a Wolfery FA account for repping Wolfery in bios and descriptions? There looks like a normal user has already claimed that name for plain Wolfery, but if there’s something else like “WolferyMUCK” maybe instead that could be used. Hesitating just mentioning that so someone doesn’t just snag a name for no reason.

@Accipiter I have something special to share to you actually. A friend of mine knows coding a lot more than I do, and well… I asked them to help me with something. There is a browser extension app called PreMID that I have used for quite along time now. What it does it create fancy Rich Presence information of supported sites directly into your discord status (I originally got this to have a cool way of showing I was playing DnD with Roll20!). If you have ever been on discord and seen the “So and so is playing this game” thing in their status with all the pretty details, that is rich presence. And PreMID then adds to that by making rich presences for websites instead (so long as it was available through their service)… If you see where I’m going with this, we have made a PreMID rich presence for discord so long as users use the web extension in their favorite browser! It’s been approved by the PreMID git folks and technically shows on their store currently. But wont work until they publish their next extension update. I have no idea timeframe of when that will roll out, but it’s page is there! Wolfery - PreMiD. Once the update rolls out, roleplayers can show that they’re active and playing right on to their discord without needing to manually setup anything! You just log into wolfery, and it show’s you’re role playing!

I don’t know what would be a good way to inform players that this exists, if they wish to use it. Maybe we should have some sort of “external resources” page, where we can have links to stuff like this, wikipages, FurAffinity pages, etc.
That sounds like a neat way to also help spread it. And I just found out today is update day for PreMID. It’s now live and working! ^^
