Help greet and welcome newcomers

Do you want to help newcomers, guiding them on how to use basic commands?
Perfect!

While anyone can help and greet, our station master, Tom Greyback, is a puppet created for this very purpose.

What I need help with is:

  • Register Tom Greyback as one of your puppets (see help register puppet)
  • Wake up Tom Greyback if he is asleep
  • Let Tom rest in his own console tab while you play with your main/other character(s)
  • Have Tom guide anyone asking him for help.
  • Optionally use focus @all to get notifications on arrivals

If there are enough of us sharing this task, we can make the first impression much nicer for all new visitors.

I can help with this a fair amount of the time, too. Tom needs some coffee. I’m sure they go well with those cookies.
