Feature request: access to outgoing mail

I have a habit with a friend of exchanging letters, which is done through the mechanics of the mail system. Sometimes, when I am feeling nostalgic, I will read back through the letters I’ve received, just as a way to relive those moments.

However, I do not have the ability to look back through the letters I have sent. I know that the are there in the logs if I scroll back, but logs do not transfer between devices (not well, at least), and scrolling up a kajillion is not an effective way to find them.

Is it possible to add sent messages to the UI somewhere so that I can read back through them?

Yeah, I agree!

I think, what I stumbled on when I considered adding it, was that I wasn’t sure how I wanted that UI to look like. A separate “Sent” section? Add a Reply feature so they can be grouped properly? How would that look in that tiny panel?

… and in the end I didn’t found a good answer, and later was distracted by other features to tinker on.

So, maybe I should ask here; How would we want sent mails to show?

Add a second portrait icon, the first one is the sender, the second is the receiver?

I think a separate sent section could be alright, perhaps a sub-tab. I had originally been thinking something dead simply, with a visual signifier and a text signifier:

You shouldn’t need a separate copy of the mail, either, just separate accounting for whether each party had read it and marked it deleted (if both deleted it you could actually remove it).

I would absolutely second this feature.

I send quite a bit of mail, and sometimes it is hard to keep track of. The ability to easily see Ahhh yes, this is what I sent and quick reference things sent would be excellent, even if just seperating mail into an ingoing and outgoing tab.

Thirding this request. Even if it’s just like a sub tab inside of From and To.

I just export a log when i mail.
((totally isnt running out of storage space))

I will push this up my prio-list!
