Some may have noticed that the door to Chippy’s office is locked, please don’t be alarmed, I’m trying to get some changes sorted out before opening up registration for the 14th floor of apartments.
…14 floors… wow…
Anyways, sorry for any inconvenience. But as a peace offering to any current residents, I’m officially announcing that locked room doors exist! Many have seen them down on the 1st and up on the 13th floor, I’ve been doing them as a “come and ask me and I’ll set you up” basis. Things still aren’t perfect, there’s a lot of managing that I do manually on my own side (like making sure apartment numbers are assigned and assigned fairly, it’s by order acquired, by the way), but I thought I’d make an “official” announcement that they are available to those that want it. I will keep anyone else’s doors the way that they are for now, as I’m not going to make you guess your apartment number without talking to me first, heheh.
Also, for those that are on the new room locks, I’ve created a gist for how to get those new doorbells working. There’s a script that’s ready to add for your entry room doorbell, then another that needs a slight change for any other rooms you might want to hear the doorbell from. It’s just getting the address of the first script, feel free to message or mail me if you have any questions or issues and I’ll happily take a look at it.
The plan is to have door locks be the default starting with the 14th floor, with doorbells included, which is one of the reasons for the pause on new apartments. Thank you for your patience.
