At present, any clicks or text marking in a piece of mail or other expand/collapse on click content (such as the mail window) closes the expanded view. This makes it impossible to copy text from the UI. This is important for things like mailed room IDs or similar. Please make copypasta great again by allowing selection without closing the entry.

I ran into this issue today on the mail message element!
I found a little workaround which is a little bit clunky but gets the job done! Here’s how it works:
You can click and drag to select all the text you want, don’t release the mouse button yet, and press Ctrl + C on the keyboard! This allows you to copy the text before it closes the message when you release it!
I hope this helps for the time being!

I noticed on Opera GX that the prompt to manipulate text is still there after it collapses, so if you highlight a mail and it collapses, it still may be highlighted to copy, fwiw. Not a solution, but a workaround for now.

It doesn’t work like that, at least it didn’t work for me, it only pastes the last thing before that.
