So, this may be just a user error and I apologize wasting anyone’s time if it is, but I was simply wondering if it was possibly to add/enable autocorrect to the IOS extension of wolfery, it isn’t often I use my phone for wolfery but when I do, I find myself making errors that I fail to see as they don’t appear as mistakes nor does my autocorrect work whatsoever. I am just curious if there is a way to enable this feature or if it may be added as a small quality of life change in the future.
Oh, so spellchecking isn’t working on IOS? Good to know!
The spellchecking feature is built in and handled by the web browser. And even if you “install” Wolfery as an app, it will still run on the web browser engine - on IOS, that means WebKit.
And after looking it up, I found the issue being this:
Because we use CodeMirror for the editor (to get nice colors and tab completion and such), Safari fails to do spellchecking.
Hm… I am near illiterate with technical babble but reading through the link makes it look like there is no easy solution and well, it’s not a big enough of a problem to actually need to put work into in my opinion. I guess I will just misspell a little more often while on mobile xD
I remember that spellchecker actually worked in wolfery up until the addition of the dedicated mobile overlay. Then it just stopped working.
