I had a little late night crisis last night… I for some reason had a panic attack off of not remembering how I found out about wolfery…
As stupid as it seems it got me thinking - how do people find out about wolfery?
Everyone I ask in game say either from a friend or a person of some sort, but no-one finds it from any adverts or any other means.
I was wondering if there was any advertisement put in place, and if not… Why?

I found Wolfery from legitimately searching the internet for good RP sites, as I was interested in getting into role-playing.
Came via an ad on yiffer.xyz.
IIRC (this be Acci’s domain) we have specific platform ads on FA, e621 and Sofurry (and one or two more) and there’s a vague Adwords ad out there for furryesque subjects.
There’s some word of mouth, too! WHich is nice.

The “launch” contained ads on FA, e621, SoFurry, and yiffer.xyz. Plus a short lived Google Ads.
Right now, I think FA is still showing. Possibly e621 too…? I don’t keep track.

I am absolutely the odd one out here, so far: I happened to overhear a brief conversation about Wolfery on Tapestries, which is one of the “MUCKs of old” referred to by Wolfery’s login page. That day I joined a spontaneous “away team” who all wandered in together, out of curiosity. I remember that Station Park had only a couple folks in it, and they were surprised and delighted to receive us! This would have been early last spring.
I know it’s still on FA, since I have seen the advert just yesterday. I found it through such an ad, (usually will click on basically every community thing I see in an advert just because I want a very big discord emote keyboard.) and was fairly surprised finding a MUD here.

My friend @Jagrabbit mentioned a web muck they’d been introduced to that seemed decent and I hopped on and made an account right away. n_n So I think I arrived by a short chain of word of mouth.
I got here from f-list, so going through the faves/yes/maybe/no made it really easy to translate the faves and nos but I’ve used IRC for several years now so several more features were easy to learn. And I’ve MUCKed around with Flexible Survival so even the room building is familiar
I got in on the recommendation of a long-time rp partner, but I’ve seen the ads here and there so I recognized the name.
