Adding Flexibility to Names

Names! We all have one. In the case of Wolfery, a name and a surname. Issue is, this system leaves a bit to be desired, and I’d really love to add to the current naming system, instead of replacing it altogether.

Consider this: my character’s name is King Avalon. Everywhere you go, he’s named King Avalon. But if I were to name him King Avalon on Wolfery, his name would only come across as ‘King’ in the chat, forcing me to have to name him something like, Avalon the King, which is an okay workaround, if not a bit clumsy.

But imagine if we had little boxes to tick, ‘apply surname in chat,’ or ‘place surname first’. That way I can either be seen as King Avalon in chat, or listed as King Avalon in the sidebar, while still having my character’s actual name ‘Avalon’ appear in chat.

What do we think?

I really hope this topic hasn’t been covered before! I have seen similar suggestions, but not quite like what I’m proposing here.

I mean, that’s the issue, you don’t have a first name and a surname, or rather, you probably do, you’re just putting in a title and a surname. Or possibly a title and a first name?

Maybe - and I appreciate this is a workaround, not a fix - just put a real name in there and put “call me King Avalon” in status? (People might not anyway, but that’s their choice.)
