This is less of a Realm & Areas kind of thing, maybe, but I think it suits best here. There’s a lot of lore to the rift, and not a lot of… well, easily accessible sources of it. The library in Sinder has some books on it, and a few other locations, but it’s very scattered - most of what I’ve been able to glean is through a series of dispersed and very unfocused conversations with a lot of folks in passing.
I like the idea of a group of folks who are… Truthseekers? Enter The Illuminated - a collection of people who’ve researched the rift, the multiverse beyond, and have learned much of the ways things work. Or as much as anyone can truly know, at least. They’re not malicious movers and shakers who seek to orchestrate the political leanings of the rift, they’re just folks who want to learn as much as they can, and share what they’ve learned with one another. Some might have benevolent intentions, some might be altruistic, some might just be lore-greedy isolationists who have no interest in other people’s lives- the only thing they truly share is a love for learning.
Does anyone like this idea? Would anyone be interested in an organization like that?
