This could be simplified by doing it this way:
Khaterín arrives from the wooden stairs.
Buddy, Chum, Pal, and Friend arrive together with Khaterín.
The leader knows who they’re leading and the server knows to gag the follower arrival messages. This way there’s no extra processing needed and large parties do not spam the log (rendering larger parties a non-issue; I have hit the cap before)
